The East End Transformation of the Washington University in St.Louis, Danforth Campus is more than a construction project: It furthers the university’s mission and values, setting the course for the next era of academic excellence and service to society.

This transforming project pegged at $240 million, includes eight major components — three new academic buildings, an expansion of the Mildred Lane Kemper Art Museum, two new multi-use facilities, an underground parking garage and the expansive new Ann and Andrew Tisch Park.

These are indexed in the keymap as per the following nomenclature :

  1. Ann and Andrew Tisch Park

  2. Anabeth and John Weil Hall

  3. Henry A. and Elvira H. Jubel Hall

  4. James M. McKelvey, Sr. Hall

  5. Gary M. Sumers Welcome Center

  6. Mildred Lane Kemper Art Museum Expansion

  7. Craig and Nancy Schnuck Pavilion

  8. Underground Garage

This research will be confined to observing the construction progress of the Henry A. and Elvira H. Jubel Hall (3) and the Underground Garage (8) for a period of 10 weeks beginning the 3rd week of January 2018.

A weekly observation of the construction progress will be made and a critique developed to highlight the construction equipment, methods and milestones achieved in the respective week. Also, meteorological factors and workforce analytics in terms of a crew balance study will be tracked.

Find below a time-lapse video depicting the construction progress in the first 6 months since breaking ground.
